The Grants Committee members visited Computer Clinic Malawi to learn more about the project as part of the familiarization process for the “Digital Malawi” initiative.
Mr. Henry Sauzande, Ms. Ann Liabunya, Ms. Mayamiko Mulemba, and Mr. Blessings Hola made the trip on June 28th, 2023.
Sam Masikini, the managing director, and Hazviperi Mbizi, the communications officer, welcomed the guests.
Masikini gave a brief introduction to the organization, outlining its mission, vision, objectives, challenges, and milestones that have shaped its history, at the beginning of the meeting. Mbizi continued by providing a quick overview of the organization’s project implementation during the first tranche. She mentioned the preparations that were done, the mass literacy rallies, and the current preparations for the coming digital and entrepreneurship training.
In his comment, Mr. Sauzande inquired about the partnership with TEVET, the certification, the processes for security in the digital skills center, and the inclusion of special needs participants.
Masikini assured them that all these issues have been looked into so that there won’t be any setbacks when the training starts.
Liyabunya thanked the host for the well-detailed discussion and presentation about the project. She further informed them that the team would continue visiting to monitor, advise and encourage them until the end of the project. She encouraged them to continue working hard until the project objectives, targets have been achieved.
